I have been seeing a lot of news lately about hand sanitizers. After reading some of the stories, I found out that the main ingredient in most of these alcohol-based is ethanol.
After looking at the sanitizer in my child’s backpack, I found that his sanitizer was 62% ethanol. It is extremely flammable and could prevent a serious hazard.
I won’t be using alcohol-based sanitizers or putting it in his backpack to take to school.
I did a Google Search on Alcohol Free Hand Sanitizers and found alternatives.
Check out this story below. This little girl almost died drinking hand sanitizer that contained ethanol. She may have well as drank gasoline.
